New Foods, New Flavors

Here are a few honorable mentions that pleasantly surprised me when I gave them a whirl.

Farmhouse Culture Fine Fermented Foods: Fermented foods are becoming increasingly popular, with options such as kimchi and krauts. Farmhouse Culture has a variety of krauts, including ginger beet, horseradish leek and – my favorite – garlic dill pickle. Both the kimchi and krauts are packaged in BPA-free stand-up pouches with a specially patented vent to prevent the messy bubble-overs commonly seen in fermented foods.
