Here at Farmhouse Culture, we love our line of tasty, organic krauts. But we also like to spice things up now and again.
The first thing you’ll notice about our Ginger Beet Kraut is its intense color.
The second thing you’ll notice is its bright, fresh flavor. Our Ginger Beet Kraut is made of gorgeous, organically-grown, red beets paired with the sweet and spicy taste of fresh organic ginger. The flavor is earthy and light at the same time. We like to throw it in with all kinds of salads for a splash of color and flavor, or put it on top of our sandwiches. Ginger Beet Kraut goes great with goat cheese, served in a bed of arugula or on a crostini. It’s equally good in a nori wrap with salmon and avocado, or garnishing a savory green lentil stew.
Kimchi is traditionally a spicy fermented vegetable dish that is served with practically every meal in Korea. It is also considered one of the healthiest foods in the world, thanks to it’s beneficial bacteria and vitamin-packed punch. Our Spicy Wakame Ginger Kimchi is inspired by Korean recipes but infused with our own local flavors. We make our Kimchi with cabbage, radishes, carrots, and leeks (all organic of course), and, unlike a lot of traditional recipes, is completely vegan and organic. Instead of the traditional fish paste, we get a flavor boost from wakame, a tasty, edible seaweed that is a great source of omega-3 fatty acids, as well as being a great source of calcium, iodine, thiamine, and niacin. Spicy, but not too spicy, our Kimchi gets its kick from ginger, garlic, and chili. Koreans eat kimchi on everything (and we can’t blame them!), but we especially recommend our Kimchi served with eggs, fried rice, or in Korean-style tacos.
