If you take a close look at our pouch, you might notice a new badge of honor: our Krauts are now officially certified as Non-GMO! Don’t worry, all of our Krauts are still being made with the same delicious, organic ingredients we have always used. So why all the fuss about a label? Let’s back [...]
On April 29th, something truly amazing is happening. Farmhouse Culture will have the opportunity to be selected as Mama Chia’s Entrepreneur of the Year. What makes this so exciting is that we actually have a really good chance of WINNING- a 1:25 chance to be specific. The winner is selected by a combination of jury and public support (that’s you!)
Winning would mean the world to us. The funds would allow Farmhouse Culture to to expand operations so that we can provide healthy, locally sourced, organic krauts to even more people.

Farmhouse Culture ventures down to Anaheim, CA to participate in the Natural Products Expo West 2013! We asked people if they “like it raw” and here is what they said…

We’ve developed two amazing new flavors that we’re sure you’ll want to try: Ginger Beet Kraut and Spicy Wakame Ginger Kimchi. The first thing you’ll notice about our Ginger Beet Kraut is [...]
Our kraut is getting a new outfit this month! Instead of glass jars, now you will find our delicious Farmhouse kraut in a pouch. As you already know, our krauts and kimchi are fermented foods full of living organisms that are good for you. While those little organisms are busy fermenting away, they are letting [...]
We were so excited (and maybe even blushing a little) when Williams-Sonoma asked us if they could carry our kraut crocks in their catalog. We thought we’d seen the folks from Williams-Sonoma HQ scoping us out at the San Francisco Ferry Plaza Farmer’s Market (which is just down the street from their flagship store), but we [...]
A great time was had by all at this year’s Farm to Fermentation Festival in Petaluma, California. The coolest fermenters in California were there sampling and hawking their fine ferments. Sandor Katz, our ever brilliant fermented food spokesperson, gave the key note speech. The take away? Bacteria are in charge so let’s work with them instead of [...]
Gerti, Hans and Bea Cornelius, here vacationing from Austria, couldn’t get enough of our Smoked Jalapeno Kraut. They took a case home with them and swore they’d be back!
